There are wide disparities in the survival of cancer patients in the world.
I have conducted a 15-year study investigating the survival of approximately 37 million cancer patients in more than 70 countries around the world. From this study it can be seen that there is an unacceptable gap in the survival of cancer patients. A significant challenge is how to reduce this gap. Limited access to early diagnosis and appropriate treatment is a major problem.
